On December 10, 2020, the activist of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU) Felix Capdesuñe Díaz was the victim of threats and psychological abuse by the head of the sector, the captain of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) Gianny Clape Rodríguez for allegedly being involved in subversive activities as he was reading the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) to a neighbour in front of the store known by the name of EMC. This officer is well known for treating people of the Baracoa municipality cruelly. The activist told him that if the only ones who could talk about the UDHR were the supporters of the regime, as this topic was shown on Cuban television very often, then what was the reason why he (the activist) could not talk about it with his neighbour and what was the crime he was committing.
According to the activist, the aforementioned official was violating article # 1 of the aforementioned declaration, where it is stated that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights and, endowed with reason and conscience, and must behave fraternally with each other.
