A Cuban citizen, who had been working at “El Cisne Azul” bakery for 15 days, was informed that his contract was being terminated. According to the victim, the procedure requires precisely 15 days of contract and then a permanent contract is made, which did not happen. In early October 2018, the citizen complained to the company without receiving a response. Therefore, on 11th October, he went to the provincial government to complain. There he was told that he could not be attended and that he had to request an interview in writing and in advance. In May 2018, another contract had been terminated while he was working as a baker in the Santa Maria delivery, since he attended church on Saturdays. The victim described these events against him as a political-religious persecution because he had also collaborated with several local opposition groups.
