On the day of the events, Mrs. Claudia Pelegrín Carcases was threatened to be beaten by the first lieutenant of the National Revolutionary Police Anael Hernández and by Captain Neuri Durán Pajan of the State Security. Claudia was threatened because she was with a group of people commenting on the situation of the Cuban people and also on the reasons why people were demonstrating on public roads. At that moment, the officers appeared and asked Claudia the reasons for the disturbance/disorder, since she was committing the crime of public disorder. Mrs. Claudia responded that according to the New Constitution Cuban people had freedom of expression, so she did not see what the crime was. After an exchange of words between Claudia and the officers, they warned her that she should not talk about the subject with so many people because it would generate public disorder, nor should she lead any group because in that case she would pay the consequences.
