Yoel Acosta Games, an activist from the Avilanian Free Press Association (APLA), was detained in his house and taken to the police unit in the municipality of Morón, Ciego de Ávila Province. The police also searched his house (so called allanamiento) and confiscated him several hand-written documents with complaints on human rights abuses experienced by people living in his area. When he was in the police station, a State Security official known as Yanier along with colleague told Yoel that he would be in trouble as he was publishing the complaints through independent means. He was relased at about 5 pm without any further consequences.
