At 6:30, a human rights defensor and journalist Armando Peraza Hernandez was on his way home from Pinar del Río, where he attended several human rights activities. He was detained on the Los Palacios Bridge on Pinar-Havana highway by State Security Chief in Los Palacios Major Lazo and Secret Police Chief Major Valdemiro. Armando was driven to the Police Department in Los Arabos. During his detention which lasted 24 hours, he was treated badly and he was kept in a prison cell. He was also accused of disobedience due to distribution of human rights education materials and records from Tele Martí. He was given an official warning and he was threatened that if he continued his activities against socialist revolution, he would be prosecuted and put in jail for at least 20 years.
