UNPACU activist summoned and threatened at Parque 24 in Guantánamo

On Friday, 25 September 2020, Miguel Ángel López Herrera, a human rights activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), was summoned to the police station Parque 24 in the city of Guantánamo. There he was received by State Security official Lionis who threatened him with imprisonment in case he continued visiting and receiving at home counter-revolutionaries "who just wanted to recruit him and carry out activities against the people of Fidel and Raúl". "Let these people be, look at the case of Rolando who was imprisoned," said the official. Then he concluded the summons by issuing him an official warning for meeting with counter-revolutionaries.
