"Víctor Manuel Castro Meriño (who is a person deprived of his liberty) expressed that he felt bad all day and complained constantly about this situation, it was until the early hours of the night that the guards finally went to pick him up to transfer him to the infirmary. Castro Merino refused to be transferred with handcuffs on, for which he was insulted, beaten and pushed by the military. However, in the face of the protests of the other prisoners who were around, they decided to take him without handcuffs.
Later that night, some prisoners who collaborate with the police reported that Castro Meriño had died, alleging COVID-19 as the cause. However, among the prisoners it is believed that the cause of death was something else.
