On 17 February 2019, political police in Guantánamo carried out an operation and detained a representative of the Ladies in White, Celina Osoria Claro. The purpose of the police action was to prevent her from participating in Sunday Mass held in the Santa Catalina de Ricci Church. Celina was put in the patrol car no. 610 and driven to the police unit Parque 24. There she was kept for 12 hours in detention without any water or food.
