A peaceful opponent quoted and threatened at Guantanamo



On 22 August the dissident Frank Duran Mendez was quoted by the agent (DSE). Mendez 28-year-old activist of the Cuban young pro-democracy movement and resident of 17th Street north west 5 and 6 was summoned in the detention center. After an hour of waiting was called to a small office. There they were two policemen, one of them known as Bryan head of investigation. Frank Duran could not identify the another one. The interrogation ended with warnings and threats for his civic activism in defense of human rights. Spent an hour Duran Mendez allowed to go telling him he would be constantly watching.
