On February 4, at the José Martí airport in Havana after one hour of customs checking, Human Rights Defender Jacqueline Madrazo Luna, a member of the Citizens of Race Integration Committee (CIR), was detained by a State Security official. The officer took her passport and handed it to a Customs Officer. Her bags were taken and requisitioned. She was also subjected to an interrogation and after two hours she was allowed to continue. The objective was to gather information about the Human Rights Training Workshop of a member of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.
