The victim had a sign hanging on the door of his house that read: "Freedom for Guillermo Fariñas". Because of this, on May 10, 2022, he was detained by the Operational Guard and taken to the Parque 24 Police Unit. The victim was detained for eight hours and fined 2,000 Cuban pesos.
