In the morning of August 18 Humberto Bueno Figueroa Guantanamero citizen who lives in the town of Baracoa was arbitrarily arrested. Figueroa 28-year-old member of the Youth pro-democracy movement was arrested with other activists at the checkpoint located about ten km from the city. They were forced by the military to leave the vehicle in which they traveled and led by Jefferson agent and other military operations in the detention center located 2 km of the province. There they were interrogated and threatened by state security for their civic activism for human rights on the island.
After being arrested 48 hours they were conducted in a small bus of (PNR) to Baracoa police station, where they were later released without charges against them.
