After having participated in Mass in Santa Rita de Casia Church, Cecilia Guerra went to the seaside to honor the memory of Orlando Zapata Tamayo and to commemorate shooting down of two planes belonging to the Brothers to the Rescue, a Miami-based activist nonprofit organization. When she was on the point of throwing the flowers to the sea, she was detained by State Security officials and National Revolutionary Police. She was taken to the military base and after 5 hours released.
