Activist from Cienfuegos detained by secret police and fined for hanging 10 provocative banners

On 31 October, 2020, at about 1 am, Francisco Heriberto Rodríguez Juanes, an activist from the Cuban Reflection Movement (MCR), hung up 10 banners in the Paseo del Prado in Cienfuegos, supported by three more activists from the organization. The banners were saying: "Freedom for Armando Andrés García López, as well as for all political prisoners." On the next day, Francisco Heriberto was detained at 5 pm and driven to the provincial headquarters of the secret police located in the Pueblo Grifo District in Cienfuegos. There he was kept until 5 November. Before his release at 5:30 pm, he was fined 30 CUP.
