On the morning on September 23, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., when the human rights activist Luis Alberto Cruz Silva was at home of a friend, he was visited by State Security officers Juan Pérez and Oreste Ayala. This visit was accompanied by threats and repression against the defender. The reason was leaving his town and go to another municipality. The activist told them that they should leave the house as - according to the country's leaders - Cuba was free, so he could go wherever he wanted. After hearing this, the officers got angry and did violence to activist's words and charged him with contempt for leaders of the country. In his town, he was summoned by the head of the police who gave him a fine of 30 national pesos (approx. 1.2 euro). He was warned to not to get into more trouble.
