Odalys Castillo Cosme is the National Human Rights Coordinator of the Union for Free Cuba Party (PUNCLI) and manager of the Emilia Project. She resides in the municipality of San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa Province.
On August 19, officers of the Political Police came to her home to threaten her because of the publications she frequently posts on social networks. One of the soldiers alleged that the activist had made a publication about Fidel Castro on social networks and that if she continued she would get into trouble. They threatened to confiscate her cell phone and take away her internet connection.
To this, Odalys responded to the officer that she would continue with her publications and that they should do their job.
