UNPACU activist detained while heading to Mass in Guantánamo



Bartolo Cantillo Romero was detained by the State Security official (DSE) known as Víctor Víctor along with several policemen. Bartolo was carrying a poster, asking for the release of the human rights defender José Daniel Ferrer. The detention took place when he was walking down the Avenue Street and Moncada, heading to the Santa Catlina de Ricci Church in order to attend the Sunday Mass. After the detention, he was taken to the police unit in the municipality of Yateras. He was released two days later, at about 6 am and fined 500 CUP.
