Aurelio was returning home around 3 o'clock in the afternoon, he had finished a construction work in a private house, so he gathered all his work tools in a backpack to take them home. When he was arriving at the corner of the house, located on Playa Giron Street, Aurelio met the Sector Chief: Edgar and another officer, both intercepted him and asked him for his identity card, he gave it to them. They also asked him to open his backpack to check it, this bothered him a lot since he was tired and knew that inspecting his bag was arbitrary, therefore, he protested saying that they should take him to the unit if they wanted to search him since what he was carrying were his work tools but he did not agree with this violation.
The officers took him to the 3rd Unit of the National Revolutionary Police, where they searched his body and also checked his backpack. They charged him with contempt and disobedience, he was held for three days and was released on $1500 MN bail, now he is awaiting trial.
