Police detained the organizer of the Democratic Party Pedro Luis Boitel Abraham

At 11:30 am, Francisco Rangel Manzano, the organizer of the Democratic Party Pedro Luis Boitel Abraham in the city of Colón, was arrested. The arrest occurred after the police made pornographic gestures outside the house of Caridad Burunate Gómez, the place where he was having a meeting with other activists to make work schedules. The activists responded to such disrespect by using the photographic cameras on their cellphones.The repressors arrested Rangel and used force to reduce him to obedience after having entered the house without authorization. Francisco Rangel Manzano was detained for a number of days. During his detainment, he was beaten under the orders of Yulién Villamil Álvarez. Rangel was accused of contempt.
