State Security official Major Sergio violently detained UNPACU activist



The activist, Diosdel Lores Tissert, was on his way to the UNPACU headquarters in the province of Guantánamo with the intention of participating in a workshop on human rights when, on Avenida y Santa Rita street, he was stopped, beaten, and detained by State Security officials and police officers. The victim tried to defend himself but they used martial arts against him, injuring him badly on his left arm, which inflamed rapidly. The officials saw his injury and changed route to take him to the hospital where they left him. The State Security official Sergio threatened him and told him to report that he had fallen and injured his arm.
