René Pons was arrested while distributing the document Citizen Demands for Other Cuba among people. They arrested him violently, punching him in the face that caused his glasses to break. The agents insulted him by calling him "worm" and "counterrevolutionary". One of the agents had number 05201. René remained detained for 5 hours in the National Police Units of Zapata. During that time he was interrogated by State Security Department agent Frank.
