A case of a woman and her grandchildren expelled from their home

Mireya Llanos Heredia, a 57 year-old woman was expelled from her home located on Aguilera street in the city of Guantanamo by members of the National Police and officials of Provincial Housing, because she didn't have the right to the property. The source of this complaint alleges that Mireya has been living there for more than 20 years, which is why she was evicted. After she had a fallout with her neighbor, she was expelled onto the street along with with her three teenage grandchildren. After being evicted, she settled in an empty doctor's office, but the police threatened her there too and thus she and her grandchildren are left homeless.
