An activist was threatened with 20 years of prison

On April 15, Abel and the journalist Osmany Perez were at the police station in Colón in order to support detained journalists. At the moment, when Martha Lizet and Alberto Corzo left the station to be deported to San Pedro, Abel gave them a signal of freedom and shouted: Down with the dictatorship! When they were cycling home, he was arrested in front of State Security office and transferred to the police unit on patrol car 208. He was interrogated by agent Alexander Herrera Hernandez who threatened him with 20 years of imprisonment as they were inciting the people to disobedience. In all cases of the detainees on 15 April, interrogations as well as arrests by agents were filmed which is something unusual so far.
