The victim was deprived of his liberty for participating in the July 12 protests that took place in the Güinera. He received threats of being executed at 100 and Aldabó, of being sentenced to life imprisonment and of never being able to see his daughter again. He was subjected to interrogations at any time of the day, even in the early hours of the morning, which caused him to lose track of time. The objective was to make him confess non-existent links with terrorists in exile and he was even accused of being the scalp of the rebellion; and, in El Combinado del Este, he was locked up with the most dangerous prisoners. The prosecutor's request was for 25 years in prison for an alleged crime of sedition, he was sentenced to 26 years of imprisonment and was transferred to the regime of maximum severity for two years.
