Citizen sews his lips and goes on hunger strike due to the inaction of the state regarding housing reconstruction

Miguel Guilarte Leyva, 47 years old, went on hunger strike on September, 10 of 2020. Miguel sewed his lips with thick wire as a protest against the state inaction on solving his precarious housing situation. Miguel's house collapsed and he has been living along with his two children under imminent danger.
