An Independent lawyer is prohibited from leaving the country.



Independent lawyer Calixto Evaristo Miranda Landeiro, member of the Legal Counsel and Civic Instruction, on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at 5:30 pm, was prohibited from traveling to Uruguay, where he was going to participate in a Jurist event that he was invited by the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL). Lic. Calixto states that he was detained on the Emigration line at the José Martí airport where he was taken to an office. The Head of Emigration who was on duty questioned him and told him that he could not travel because he was banned from leaving the country.
