Activist harassed and threatened by state agents with detention ‘until he rotted’

When Oscar Martinez Ayala returned from his training outside Cuba, he was summoned by the State agents Fernando and Wilfredo to the police unit of Ciego de Avila, where he was interrogated for more than 4 hours about the people he met or travelled with. The state agents raised their tone of voice on numerous occasions. The activist responded by explaining that he was touring. The state agents told him that he was a liar, that people like him should get sick, and threatened him that he would be there "until he rotted", but ultimately released him after 4 hours because he lacked proof.
