Independent journalist interrogated and threatened by police

On 10 October 2019, very early in the morning, he got a phone call from official Alfredo Olivero who summoned him for 9 am on the same day to the migration office. When he asked why he was not not notified in an formal way, he threatened that if the journalist did not show up, he would be taken to the unit known as Operations in Guantánamo and accused of disobedience. He arrived though to the place the officer indicated. He started with the interrogation, asking about what they had done in Jamaica. The journalist replied that it was not up to him to give them the information about the event organized there. Then he was threatening and insulting for 3 hours, saying that he will not leave Cuba anymore. Three hours later, he issued a official warning accusing the journalist of working for a foreign government and spreading fake news. Then they let me go.
