Human rights defender detained and threatened for his activities

The victim was on the way to his colleague's house. They both belong to the National Democratic Party of Cuba which organizes Project Emilia. Suddenly, he was stopped by a patrol car and two public order policemen pushed him on the car, searched him and handcuffed him. When he asked why he was detained, they told him to ask at the police station. When they arrived to the police station, he was interrogated by the policeman who had detained him, asking him questions about the stickers which appeared at the windows, propagating Project Emilia and calling on people to excercise their rights. For this reason, they informed him, he would be put in jail and then they sent him to the prison cell. However, at 15:30 he was told to leave and if he kept distributing the enemy propaganda on the streets, he would be prosecuted. The victim said he was not the only one in the municipality participating in the Project Emilia.
