When Berta Soler was leaving UNPACU National Headquarters in Diez de Octubre, a municipality of the city of Havana, she was detained and beaten by combined forces consisting of State Security officials, National Revolutionary Police, Rapid Response Unit and members of the Communist Party. The reason was to prevent her from attending Mass in Santa Rita de Casia Church.
