Mayelín Peña was detained when she was leaving her house in Melena del Sur in Mayabeque Province. She was going to attend an activity carried out by the Ladies in White and detention was a way how to prevent her from participating. She was taken to the National Revolutionary Police in Nueva Paz and released 6 hours later.
