In the morning of April 9, 2019 , police officers appeared at the home of journalist Augusto César and his family. After an intense search, they took a lot of work equipment and documents, also taking him to the Zanja police station. There he was detained for hours, also receiving a fine of 2000CUP (80€) for illicit economic activity and another for 250CUP (10€) for the equipment he had. They confiscated also a laptop, two cameras of photo and video, audio recording and reproduction devices, external memories and documents of all type.
"Participants in these actions were: Lieutenant Colonel Kenia, police officers Jorge, Ernesto and Camilo, an officer who filmed the entire register, two inspectors from the Ministry of Communications, two witnesses from the Revolution Defense Commitees, and an emigration officer." The journalist said.
