Human rights defender and independent lawyer Rigoberto González Vigoa was attending a friend at the Abel Santamaría Hospital in the Province of Pinar del Río. He was captured there by the State Security Officer Juan Perez and taken to an office in the hospital. He threatened Rigoberto and explained him that he would retaliate against his family if he would not collaborate or would not stop to assist to the victims. Juan Perez also told him that he did not want to see him again training other human rights activists. This illegal interrogation that was made under threat and retaliation lasted an hour and half. The lawyer said he would continue to do what his heart decides: to help all people who require his support. The officer replied that he was not going to have sympathy with him and that it was going to happen to him the same as to the other activists: he would be detained and imprisoned for any crime.
