Because of his views on the government, police officers are keeping watch over the home of an UNPACU activist and his children.

Miguel Caballero López, an activist member of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU), was threatened by Captain Gianny Clape Rodríguez and Captain Neuri Durán Pajan. The officers told him that they would attack him if he continued to speak out against the government in the streets and if he kept sharing information about the government through the media. In addition, the activist is not allowed to walk the streets of his city nor is he allowed to visit his home because the police maintain constant surveillance around his home and that of his children.
