An activist from Guantánamo sentenced to one year in prison



An activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), Yoandry Figueredo Torreblanca, was a victim of a military operation conducted by the head of the State Security in the municipality of Guantánamo known as Jaime Vera or Sergio, along with officials Kevin, Víctor, Lionis and Luis Ángel. The activist was driven to the Guantánamo Municipal Court. There, along with another activist and without being able to speak to anybody, he was sentenced to one year in prison for disrespect.
