When the victim was waiting for the bus in Jovellanos, two National Revolutionary Police officers known as Yolexis and Daniel approached her and asked for her ID. When they saw that she was from Guantanamo, she was driven to the police unit. Once at the PNR station, she was threatened with deporation to her home province and fine 60 pesos. She was kept in a prison cell for more than 8 hours and then, without being explained anything, released.
