Rafael Chivas Castillo was on his way to the city of Guantánamo to participate in a protest march which is being held every Sunday in whole Cuba and demands the release of political prisoners and social and political changes. At 6:40 am, he was detained in the bus he was travelling by. Major Cantillo, State Security Chief in Caimanera, took him to the police station and threatened him with imprisonment for his activism. Rafael was released at 5 pm.
