Independent lawyer was threatened and a personal searched was made to him

Jean Pierre went to Pinar del Río to see José Ernesto to take the project of publishing what happened to him in Holguin. A State Security official was waiting at the terminal station and told him that he could not be there and checked everything he had (he turned off his phone and removed the battery, he reviewed his wallet and saw the laptop with the Kindle, and inspected money in CUP and CUC that he was carrying for the trip) that related to work for an NGO. The officer gave false information about Pierre's companions so that he distrusted them and would tell the officer what he knows about them. At all times Jean Pierre kept saying that he only came to see some friends, but the officials insisted that on another occasion he visited the independent lawyer José Ernesto and that this action should not be repeated. They told him he was being paid by the enemy and that he was distributing money to the counterrevolution. Jean Pierre explained that he only made legal consultations and gave legal workshops and that he was supported by his family from the USA and that they only gave him money to distribute and he did not keep anything because he did not need it. For this reason, and seeing that he did not recognize what he was told, he was taken in a car straight to Havana without a stop. The officer told him he would not take anything since it was his first offense with him and since it was Sunday he did not want to bother other officials, but he threatened him with doing it if he returned to that province.
