Yoanna was in a car which was heading to Santiago de Cuba to participate in the march (Todos Marchamos). When she was arriving to Santa Maria, she was taken from the car along with other activists of the UNPACU. After a few hours of standing at the side of the road, she was put into another car and taken to the National Revolutionary Police where she was threatened to death if she continues with her activism in the UNPACU and let on the outskirts of the city.
