At 9:00 am, activist Midelmis Naranjo Alvarado was arbitrarily detained along with two other people by two unidentified National Revolutionary Police (PNR) agents. The agents did not inform them of the reasons for the arrest, and took them to the Provincial Unit for the Instruction of Crimes against State Security in Bayamo, where the agents of the Department of State Security (DSE) known as Miguel and Leandro, together with the DCSE Criminal Instructor Captain Daniel Ramírez Matamoros, interrogated them, accusing them of having placed several counter-revolutionary posters with the text "no to the new constitution" and "Cuba in the plural", which they had previously found and of having found enemy propaganda during the arrest. The acting officers used intimidating methods against her to prevent her from fully exercising her rights. The activist was threatened with a fine of $1,500 Cuban pesos (€48) and with a search of her home, which according to agent Leandro, would be carried out at any time and would deal with anything they found, even if it was not related to the purpose of the search. This false accusation was recorded in a Warning Act for distribution of Enemy Propaganda, which the victim refused to sign, and was released at 6:15 in the evening.
