Activist sentenced for 3 years of home arrest



Laritza Mosqueda Tamayo was delivered a document saying she was setenced for an alleged assault for 3 years of home arrest. The victim said, that on January 20, 2016, police and special unit showed up in her house in Ho Chi Ming Quarter in order to detain her. When her 3 children embraced her, the officers started pushing them away by force and injured an elder son, Fernando. Laritza was then taken to the police department where she was accused of assaulting two policemen. The trial was held on June 17. The victim awaits the appeal verdict.
