María Teresa Castellanos detained and fined for going to church

María Teresa Castellanos Valido was arrested on Sunday, January 28 at 10:00 a.m when she was trying to reach the San José de Colón parish. At first they kept her inside the police car until 11:15 a.m. Then they passed her to another patrol car and drove her to the police station. During the time she was arrested, the corresponding arrest record was not issued nor was a telephone call allowed as established by law. She was fined $150.00 CUP (approximately 4.6 euro) and released at 1:40 p.m.
