Celina was going to attend Sunday Mass in the Santa Catalina de Ricci Church. When she was passing through Los Maceos and 3 Sur Street, she was stopped by State Security (DSE) official known as Sergio. He said she could not continue on her way to the church and she had to go back. Celina went home as instructed by the official.
