52 opposition and human rights activists in Palma Soriano were demonstrating against the systematic violations of fundamental rights on the island near the representative of the European Union visiting Cuba. After the march ended, they were undertaken with a brutal beating by combined forces of the Interior Ministry (MININT) and Rapid Response Brigades. They took shelter in the house of an activist and than a group showed up threatening they would break into the house and kill them, they were also offended, thrown stones at. The house was partly destroyed.
