On February 7th this year, Geobanys Izaguirre Hernández and others attending a peaceful march on the streets of Palma Soriano were brutally repressed by the combined forces of the State Security and the National Revolutionary Police.
Then they were attacked, and in the case o Izaguirre Hernández, the officers produced a hematoma around the right eye and an internal blood stain with their blows.
Geobanys was then transferred to the police station in Palma Soriano.
