UNPACU activist detained and threatened by the State Security



A human rights activist and a member of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU), Maritza Osoria Pérez, was participating in a training on peaceful promotion of human rights. After the training on her way home, she was detained by State Security official known as Arturo and sector chief Edi. She was driven to the National Revolutionary Police in Hector Infante. There, she was threatened by State Security official known as Omaní, who told her she would be fined for her counterrevolutionary meetings. Moreover, she was mocked by the officer in front of other people present in the station. She was released the same day at 3 pm.
