UNPACU activist detained by secret police and driven outside the city

On 24 May, 2015, the victim, an activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU) from Palma Soriano, was on his way to the Basilica of Santuario del Cobre along with other activists. Suddenly, the vehicle they were travelling in was detained in a place called La Tanqueta, a checkpoint which is used by secret police to prevent activists from reaching El Cobre. The victim had to get off the car and was searched by the officials. An official confiscated him his cell phones in order to avoid immediate spread of the news about the detention. Then he was put by force in a bus where he had to wait for more than 5 hours. After that, the victim was put in another car and driven outside the city of Contramaestre.
