UNPACU activist and his colleagues detained while heading to El Cobre

An activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), Marioldis Delgado, was heading to the Basilica of Santuario del Cobre along with more than 30 other activists. Suddenly, the vehicle they were travelling in was stopped at the checkpoint maintained by secret police together with operatives from the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) which serves as a barrier to prevent activist from getting to El Cobre. Then Marioldis was searched and put in a bus. He was kept inside for about 5 hours and then left on the road heading to the municipality of Contramaestre.
