An activist Giorvis Chivas Castillo was on his way to Gunatánamo in order to participate in a protest march which is being held every Sunday in whole Cuba, demanding the release of political prisoners and social and political changes. At 6:40 am, he was detained in the bus by Major Cantillo, State Security Chief in Caimanera, who threatened him with imprisonment for his political activism. Giorvis was released at 12 pm.
