An activist from Camagüey threatened by State Security over his job



Geovanis Cepúlveda Martínez is an independent journalist and works for the audiovisual agency Palenque Vision based in the province of Camagüey. State Security officials (DSE) known as Kevin and Maikel appeared in front of his house and told him that they got an information that he was collecting cardboards in order to use them for producing anti-government posters and to encourage people to call for the release of political prisoners. The officials also threatened him that if he continued with journalism and meeting opposition members in the province, he would spend his next birthday in prison.
